Changelog
What's new
Every release of AVION2, newest first. AVION2 shows new versions as a banner on its home page and installs them with one click.
v0.4.13 latest
2026-11-02
- Characters page: combat power, item level, worn titles, gear by grade, skills, Daevanion boards with every node, stats and cosmetics, for your characters and anyone you look up. Right-click a player in the meter to open theirs. The data comes from the official AION2 site, only when you open a character (kept for 10 minutes). This is the one part of AVION2 that goes online.
- Streamer mode (Settings → General): player, character and legion names show as "You", "Player 2", … and "Legion" everywhere in the app (overlay, HUD effects, fights, replays, runs, map, Characters page), and the legion card is hidden. Fights and runs are still saved with the real names.
- New website address: https://avion2.app
v0.4.12
2026-11-01
- Rift timer fixed for Europe: since the clocks went back on 25 October the timer showed rifts an hour late. Europe servers keep their times in Central European time with daylight saving, so rifts stay at 02:00, 05:00 … 23:00 your time all year. World bosses, resets and events on Europe follow the same clock.
- Bag tracking reads every item in an update: quest and Daeva Pass rewards, crafting and loot often change several slots at once, and only the first was counted. Kina gains were often missed.
- Developer recordings contain only the game: downloads and uploads by other programs no longer end up in a recording.
- Protocol wiki: crossing a Spacetime Rift (the switch to the next game server, the rift portal and its opening time), quest progress and turn-in, Daeva Pass rewards: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.11
2026-11-01
- Gathering block warning, corrected: the game blocks gathering on the fourth abort within 5 minutes, whatever the outcome; aborting a gathering that would succeed counts too, and a block doesn't reset the count. After three aborts in 5 minutes, every gathering now says "aborting blocks gathering", not only failing ones.
- The block countdown follows the game's own length: 60 s, longer when you get blocked again soon after (120 s seen).
- Protocol wiki: the rule as recorded over three blocks: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.10
2026-11-01
- Gathering block countdown: the game blocks gathering for 60 s when you abort too often ("Essence Extraction has been restricted due to repetitive behavior"). While it lasts, the HUD counts it down where the gathering outcome shows.
- Warning before it happens: once you have aborted three gatherings in the last few minutes, a failing gathering says "Will fail · aborting again may block gathering for 60 s". The game's exact rule isn't known yet; so far the block came with the fourth abort within about three minutes.
- Both come with the gathering outcome setting under Settings → HUD effects.
- Protocol wiki: the gathering block and how the server refuses gatherings while it lasts: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.9
2026-11-01
- Chain skills on the HUD: when a chain skill opens up (e.g. Resonance Crush after Onslaught), it shows above your buff icons with the time left to use it, as a bar that runs out over the 3 s and turns red in the last second.
- Boss is on you: a small red mark beside the boss's emblem on its health bar while the boss you have selected targets you. It pulses briefly when the boss turns to you.
- Both are on by default and can be switched off under Settings → HUD effects.
- Protocol wiki: your own skill state (cooldown starts, chain steps), your target and your target's target, plus some legion records: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.8
2026-11-01
- Flight time on the HUD: while you fly, the seconds until you land at your current speed show next to the game's flight gauge. They turn orange under 10 s and red under 5 s. On by default; it can be switched off under Settings → HUD effects.
- Protocol wiki: flight time, everyone's crafts at the stations, NPC shops and why the marketplace can't be read: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.7
2026-11-01
-
Crafting outcome on the HUD: like gathering, the server decides a craft's outcome the moment it starts. AVION2 now shows it above the crafting panel, for every craft in the queue:
- "Will succeed" in green
- "Will succeed · Combo ×2" in gold when the combo will work
- "Combo will fail" in red: a failed combo leaves you with nothing, not even the normal item
It uses the existing setting, now called "Gathering and crafting" under Settings → HUD effects.
-
HUD on a second screen: the HUD effects now stay on the game while another window has the focus, e.g. on your other screen. Windows you move over the game still cover them.
- Developer: screen recording: session recordings can also save two pictures a second of the game window, to match the traffic with what was on screen (Settings → Developer). Only the game's area, only while the game or AVION2 is in front.
- Protocol wiki: crafting is now documented: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.6
2026-11-01
- Changelog on the website: every release, newest first, with its download: https://avion2.void.cx/changelog/ It updates by itself whenever a new version comes out.
v0.4.5
2026-11-01
- Gathering: when you abort a gathering (e.g. after seeing "Will fail"), the outcome banner disappears right away instead of staying until it times out.
v0.4.4
2026-11-01
-
Gathering outcome on the HUD: the server decides whether a gathering succeeds the moment it starts; the bars on screen only play it out. AVION2 now shows it right away, above the gathering panel:
- "Will succeed" in green
- "Will succeed · Fine" in gold for the better item
- "Will fail" in red
On by default with HUD effects; it can be switched off under Settings → HUD effects.
-
Protocol wiki: gathering is now documented: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
v0.4.3
2026-11-01
- Server names:
- Your server shows next to your character (e.g. "Gauss").
- Players from another server get their server's name next to their legion in the overlay.
- The names come from NC's public server list (all 106 servers), built in.
- Protocol wiki on the website is now proper technical documentation, including the lobby and its server list: https://avion2.void.cx/protocol/
- Developer setting (Settings → Developer): session recordings can include every connection of the game (lobby, world), for protocol research.
v0.4.2
2026-11-01
- Strongholds:
- Runs show when the game declared the stronghold cleared, and every objective as a split, compared with your best run there.
- A cleared run counts for best times.
- Forest Shade Execution Site and Renegade Hideout are named; other strongholds are named after their boss until renamed.
- Loot: items you pick up from the ground count for the run, including Souls, which never show in the bag.
- Run timeline: objectives, boss kills and deaths in one list.
- Fixes:
- Strongholds are no longer mistaken for a dungeon that has the same monsters.
v0.4.1
2026-10-16
- Update window: "Update now" shows the download in AVION2 with a progress bar (and a Cancel button). The updater then swaps the files without a console window, so the terminal bell during the download is gone. If something goes wrong, a message box says what happened and AVION2 starts again as it was.
- Strongholds on 154xxx maps are recognized as strongholds and named after their boss, including runs saved before this version.
Updating from v0.4.0: this last update still runs the old console updater; the new update window is used from the next update on.
v0.4.0
2026-10-16
Dungeon runs: a new Runs page records every sealed dungeon, expedition, stronghold and other instance, from entering to leaving.
- Each run is named from a built-in dungeon table (219 dungeons) by the bosses or monsters you killed. AVION2 remembers which map is which dungeon; places it doesn't know can be named with Rename.
- Each run shows boss kills with their times and fight length, your deaths, your party, fights, damage, Kinah and loot (with item names).
- Best times per dungeon. Each boss kill is compared with your best run there (green faster, red slower).
- While you're inside, a live card shows the clock, your pace against your best run and the next boss.
- Fights opens the Fight History with only that run's fights.
- Settings → Data & storage → Find and import past runs adds runs from your saved recordings. This only works if Record session (.pcap) was on.
Fixes
- The HUD calibration editor now opens above the game instead of behind it.
v0.3.3
2026-10-15
- When the cube the compass leads to is picked up, it shows "Got it" (you) or a red "Gone" (taken by someone else, with their name)
- Then, depending on Settings → Find My Cube: it hides when it opened by itself ("When the game sends a cube near you"), or leads on to the next cube or area when you asked for one
v0.3.2
2026-10-15
- Find My Cube runs with the capture, also without the Map page: the compass can open by itself when the game sends a cube near you, and turns green only for a cube the game has just sent (earlier spots are search areas)
- Settings is split into sections, with when the DPS overlay and the compass show
v0.3.1
2026-10-15
- The game connection and the DPS overlay are separate: Start / Stop capture on the home page, and a separate Show / Hide overlay
- The overlay can always be hidden (✕, Ctrl+Shift+O or Hide overlay on the home page); capture, HUD effects, the low-HP alert and fight saving keep running
- Choose when the overlay shows by itself (home page, Capture card): when the capture starts, when the game is connected (default), during fights (until 30 s after a fight), or only when you show it
Changed: the overlay now waits until the game is connected before it appears. Pick "Show when the capture starts" for the old behaviour.
v0.3.0
2026-10-15
New look
- New app layout: icon rail, sidebars with search and counts, list and detail panes
- History shows each fight's DPS over time, top skills and a replay button
- Timers lists rifts, events, world and field bosses with the boss's spot on the map and your best fight against it
- Map fills the page with floating filters
- Home has a banner with start/stop and cards for the last fight, what's next and your Kinah
Replay
- The fight window opens on the replay, with the meter at the playhead, the last hits and a scrubber with every player's casts
- Players are their class emblem with a facing arrow and an HP bar; the boss shows its HP and the skill it is casting
- Crits burst, back attacks and heals are coloured, buffs show as pips, deaths leave a skull
- Key moments (boss skills, deaths, big hits, server freezes) on the scrubber and in a list to jump to
- The camera fits the fight or follows you or the boss, smoothly
HUD effects (beta, off by default)
- A one-off calibration picture of the game finds your HP bar, the boss frame and the party frames; you can move the boxes
- Your HP bar pulses red while your HP is low
- The screen edges flash red when you lose a big share of your HP at once, with what hit you above your HP bar
- Exact boss HP, time to kill and the fight clock under the boss bar; boss skills appear centred under it
- Your DPS, crit and fight time above your HP bar while you fight
- The party's DPS right under the game's group list, in its style
